We did not start out in the funeral industry. Based in San Francisco, our backgrounds are in building and marketing consumer technology. After experiencing a death in the family, we founded Parting.com. This led us to specialize in delivering at-need and pre-need leads to funeral homes in our network.
After working with many funeral directors, we learned one important thing. Funeral directors were not exactly the best salespeople. We found that our customers were great at communicating service and empathy. Yet, they were lacking in organization and did not have a structured sales process.
Based on this insight, we set out to create a product to help funeral directors with sales. Our goal is to give funeral directors the freedom to focus on servicing - not selling - families. We interviewed over a hundred funeral directors to discuss the problems they faced with their business. Based on the information we learned, we created Parting Pro to meet their needs.
